About INRES

The research of the INRES professorships focuses on a broad field ranging from soil science, microbiology, plant pathology, molecular-physiological basics of stress resistance, functional genome analyses to plant breeding and crop production. Excellently equipped laboratories, the service platform for plant experiments and the two field stations Wiesengut and Campus Klein-Altendorf are available for research. The entire range of research topics between production maximisation and minimisation of resource consumption is also reflected in teaching, first in Bachelor's degree courses in agricultural sciences and nutrition and food sciences and then in the more advanced Master's degree courses.

Research

Research at INRES covers several scales and ranges, for example, from basic research on protein folding in plants or the breeding of novel crop species to the diagnosis of plant diseases and practice-oriented research on agroforestry systems.

Professorships

INRES is an association of a total of fourteen professorships and thus serves a broad research spectrum.
