Farshid Jahanbakhshi gave an oral talk on seasonal greenhouse gas fluxes and evapotranspiration in an organically managed cropping system (link), while Najeeb Iddris presented research on the temperature sensitivity of soil respiration under long term tillage and reduced rainfall (link). Somewhere between last minute slide edits and weekend discussions, our group managed to survive another EGU week.
Ana Meijide also presented Paulina Englert’s poster on in situ N₂O fluxes in a German crop rotation system (link), representing Paulina who unfortunately could not join this year. The poster was, unsurprisingly, colourful, scientifically sharp, and impossible to miss from across the hall. We are beginning to suspect Paulina’s poster making skills deserve their own EGU session. In addition, Ana contributed to a collaborative poster presentation investigating CO₂, water, and energy fluxes over cropland in central Germany (link).
Now back in Bonn, the momentum continues as field campaigns, data analyses, and manuscript preparations move forward, energized by the many ideas and conversations sparked during EGU 2026.
