5th Symposium of the European Society of Nematologists in Cordoba, Spain, April 15-19

Our efforts were rewarded: We will be strongly represented at the conference with five oral presentations and one poster!

In March we will have a visitor from Ukraine:
Prof. Tatyana Stefanovska from Department of Entomology, Integrated Pest Management and Plant Quarantine, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine, Kiyv, is here to establish contacts and  cooperations with us and other colleagues of the Faculty of Agriculture.

In January we have a visitor from China:
Prof. Yingzhi Gao, Institute of Grassland Science, Northeast Normal University, Changchun, is here to discuss the results and progress of our co-supervised student Yuanyuan Feng and to get insights into our work on microbial control of nematodes.

PhD student Clarissa Hiltl won a student bursary granted by European Society of Nematologists (ESN) to attend the 5th Symposium of the ESN in Cordoba, Spain, April 15-19. She has been invited to give an oral presentation of her work.

Good news for the beginning of 2024:
PhD student Sharon Letia is invited to present a poster at the 37th conference "Molecular Biology of Plants" in Hennef, Germany, in March 2024. The title of her poster is "G-protein Signaling Promotes the Susceptibility of Plants to a Biotrophic Plant Pathogenic Nematode"
