Over the past two decades, the Universitätsfest has become an integral part of the academic year in Bonn. This year's edition is dedicated to the 20th anniversary: The traditional celebration for graduates will be supplemented by a public stage program, musical performances, and hands-on activities. Numerous University initiatives and
alumni networks are also participating in the program. In addition, the Uuniversity's teaching awards will be presented.
The program in detail:
11 a.m. Admission for graduates and their guests
From 12:30 p.m. Start of the stage program, entrance of the faculties, speeches by the rector, graduate Sebastian Walter, and teaching award ceremony
From 1:30 p.m.: Music program on stage and presentation of decorative certificates by the faculty heads
3:30 p.m.: Admission for the public
Approx. 3:45 p.m.: Congratulations from the rector and the mayor, followed by the traditional “hat throwing”
4:00 p.m.: Welcome to the “Forever Uni Bonn” ceremony, opening of the activity stands
4:30 p.m.: Performance by Cat Ballou
From 5:15 p.m.: Singalong concert, music and dance (with DJ)
10:00 p.m.: End of event
