Many of you already know Max from his previous work with us on the EarthBridge project, which sadly came to a close this past December [2025]. Now, Max is back—and this time he is here to stay. This is all thanks to the prestigious Phenorob 2.0, the DFG-funded Cluster of Excellence funding on Robotics and phenotyping for Sustainable Crop Production awarded to the University of Bonn. Thank you to them for making this all possible!
Max’s PhD project is as exciting as it is ambitious: he will be developing a cutting-edge workflow to map field anomalies in agricultural landscapes using satellite data and exploring its application to agrobiodiversity scenes. This work promises to shed new light on how we can monitor and understand changes in our agroecosystems. Max's combination of technical skill, curiosity, and team spirit - including his work-disruptive food offerings during the day - are highly appreciated in the group.
Good luck with your PhD, Max!
