The main purpose of the project is to explore the effects of biosynthesis of Strigolactones on root development and its interaction with soil microbes such as Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi and rhizobacteria in maize. You will learn culture of maize, root phenotyping, morphological and anatomical dissection of root development, root DNA/RNA isolation, next-generation sequencing data analysis.

Duration of the project: start anytime from June 2022

Please send us a mail if you are interested in crop root-microbe interaction and perform a master thesis at the group of Root Functional Biology.
