His software and analyses enabled the mapping of mutations in the largest maize mutation collection in Europe (BonnMu) in cooperation with Caroline Marcon’s Group. He further performed the computational analyses in a study which identified a gene crucial for wax synthesis in barley. And he automized a workflow to identify candidate genes for stress adaptation from differentially expressed genes based on comparative genomics (A2TEA). This includes a webapp to visualize and analyze the candidate genes for stress adaptation and differentially expressed genes.
He was involved in so many more projects, where his software and analyses enabled advancements in crop research. His software will most likely do so in the future!
